Description

You will drive strategic supply network development and cost management for product hardware, collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to accelerate development and optimize total cost of ownership across the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other technical field
• 5+ years experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, or design of electronics/mechanical devices
• Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work
• Ability to travel 10%-40% and relocate to Costa Mesa, CA
• Preferred: Master's degree, experience in advanced sourcing, supplier development, or high-tech products

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection using approved supplier list
• Partner with suppliers on concept scoping, feature trade-offs, should-cost models, and joint design development
• Drive BOM development and consolidation with Quality and Manufacturing for production ramp
• Manage CAPEX and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time
• Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottom-up cost curve to product cost
