Description

You will lead the design, integration, and validation of high-performance electromechanical actuators for our prototype aircraft, working across electrical, controls, and thermal domains to deliver an optimized integrated system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in actuated mechanism or electromechanical system design
• Understanding of actuator mechanical design including motors, geartrains, bearings, brakes, housings, sensors
• Proficiency in GD&T, kinematic analysis, FEA (Siemens NX, ANSYS), and materials selection
• Experience with structural analysis (static, modal, buckling, fatigue)

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of flight-critical electromechanical actuation systems from concept through flight testing
• Perform trade studies to optimize system architecture and mass
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (actuator controller, flight controls, GNC, power systems, etc.)
• Develop test plans and test benches for component development and qualification
• Lead design reviews and drive cross-functional projects with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and test engineering
