💼 About This Role

You'll design and build React Native mobile applications at Upstart, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams. This role is hands-on, focusing on shipping features and owning technical decisions for a digital-first lending platform. You'll contribute to engineering quality through system design, code review, and long-term maintainability.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and maintain user-facing features in React Native mobile apps.
• Design mobile components that are performant and scalable across platforms.
• Collaborate with product and design to scope and launch features.
• Contribute to platform improvements like tooling, CI/CD, and performance monitoring.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent)
• 4+ years of experience in software engineering
• Experience with React Native
• Familiarity with at least one native platform (Swift/Obj-C or Kotlin/Java)

✨ Nice to Have

• Helped launch or scale a React Native app on Android
• Experience with TypeScript or custom native modules
• Experience with mobile analytics, push notifications, deep linking, or A/B testing
