Description

As an Android Engineer on the Trust & Safety team at Lyft, you will build and maintain features that directly protect riders and drivers. You'll collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to ship high-impact safety experiences, critically evaluate designs, and contribute to team goals.

Requirements

• Experience shipping large-scale Android applications
• Proficiency in Kotlin; Java is a plus
• Experience with unidirectional and reactive programming architectures
• Experience with Jetpack Compose, unit and snapshot testing
• Strong product sense and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Android safety features
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate safety concepts into polished user experiences
• Critically evaluate proposed designs and product specs for logic gaps and abuse vectors
• Navigate tradeoffs in a fast-paced environment with multiple high-priority projects
• Share knowledge through brown bags, tech talks, and engineering best practices
