💼 About This Role

You'll own build reliability for major assemblies at Vast, a commercial space station company developing human-rated spacecraft. Your work will directly ensure flight hardware meets safety and quality standards through the production ramp-up. You'll drive systemic improvements across design, manufacturing, and test. You'll lead root-cause investigations and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to prevent escapes.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own build reliability for major assemblies or multiple work centers.
• Lead containment and root-cause investigation of high-impact issues.
• Collect and analyze build data to identify risks and recurring issues.
• Define tools and standards to improve reliability processes.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 6-10 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, reliability, or design in aerospace or high-reliability hardware.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for fast-paced environments.

• Expertise in RCA, FMEA, SPC, control plans; Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• Familiarity with reliability engineering and quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Technical depth in design, manufacturing, integration, or test.
