💼 About This Role

You'll lead the finance function for a start-up philanthropic organization, managing day-to-day operations including accounting, payroll, and audit. Your core impact is building processes and systems from the ground up to support a $5 million operating budget. You'll collaborate across teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own monthly and year-end close and report financial data
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll
• Oversee audit process and 990-PF preparation
• Monitor cash and liquidity across accounts
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements

📋 Requirements

• CPA preferred
• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Experience with nonprofit/foundation financial reporting
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and bill.com

• Experience with endowments
• Experience with enterprise-wide accounting software selection
• Auditing and investment accounting experience
