💼 About This Role

You'll lead utility-scale BESS projects from concept through construction, designing AC and DC electrical systems. Your work will integrate battery energy storage with grid infrastructure to drive the energy transition. 🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead electrical engineering for utility-scale BESS projects from concept to construction.
• Design AC and DC electrical systems with transformers, inverters, and battery modules.
• Develop single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, grounding plans, and protection strategies.
• Interface with utilities and ISO/RTOs for interconnection studies and compliance.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Nevada or eligible for reciprocity.
• Minimum 5 years in solar, energy storage, or microgrid sectors with 3+ years BESS design.
• Expertise in NEC 705, NEC 706, IEEE 1547, UL 9540, NFPA 855 standards.

✨ Nice to Have

• Proficiency in transmission-level load flow using PSSE or PSLF.
• Experience with HVDC systems and converter station design.
• Knowledge of energy storage use-cases like peak shaving and frequency response.
