You'll lead utility-scale BESS projects from concept through construction, designing AC and DC electrical systems. 🎯 What You'll Do
- Lead electrical engineering for utility-scale BESS projects from concept to construction.
- Design AC and DC electrical systems with transformers, inverters, and battery modules.
- Develop single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, grounding plans, and protection strategies.
- Interface with utilities and ISO/RTOs for interconnection studies and compliance.
📋 Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited program.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Nevada or eligible for reciprocity.
- Minimum 5 years in solar, energy storage, or microgrid sectors with 3+ years BESS design.
- Expertise in NEC 705, NEC 706, IEEE 1547, UL 9540, NFPA 855 standards.

- Proficiency in transmission-level load flow using PSSE or PSLF.
- Experience with HVDC systems and converter station design.
- Knowledge of energy storage use-cases like peak shaving and frequency response.
