💼 About This Role

You'll lead a team that powers the decision engine for Spotify's 700M+ users, determining what messages they receive. You'll drive the evolution from a rules-based system to an ML-informed decision engine impacting user engagement and retention. This is one of the highest-leverage systems at Spotify, and you'll shape its next generation.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead the Selection engineering team, focusing on growth and performance
• Partner with Product, Data Science, and ML Engineering on technical roadmap
• Deliver platform capabilities for user engagement and retention
• Collaborate cross-squad to ensure mission alignment

📋 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing software engineers
• Experience with distributed systems, real-time pipelines, or platform infrastructure
• Strong ownership and ability to understand impact and trade-offs
• Clear communication with engineers and cross-functional partners
