💼 About This Role

You'll join the Payments team to build a unified payment processing solution that is critical to Toast's revenue and customer operations. You'll design and deliver features, develop automated tests, and roll out changes with monitoring. This role offers the chance to work on a high-scale platform using modern architectures and collaborate across teams.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design, build, and deliver features for Toast's payments products
• Develop and implement automated test suites for quality assurance
• Collaborate with PM and UX on feature definition and design
• Partner with cross-functional teams across Toast

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing robust backend services
• Proven ability to develop scalable and secure APIs
• Knowledge of best practices in API lifecycle management
• Demonstrated experience with microservices architecture and containerization

• Proficiency with DynamoDB or PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java with willingness to learn Kotlin
• Experience with event sourcing, OLAP, ETL/ELT, or streaming data
