Description

You will lead complex free speech litigation, developing strategy and arguments, preparing legal papers, conducting discovery, and representing the organization in court and media. You will report to the Senior Counsel, Director of Center for Free Speech.

Requirements

• J.D., active license in at least one US state bar
• Capable of meeting admission requirements in relevant jurisdiction within one year
• 1+ years of complex litigation experience

Responsibilities

• Litigate complex lawsuits in support of free speech
• Develop strategy, arguments, and testimony for case presentation
• Produce high-quality legal papers, including briefs, motions, and memoranda
• Conduct fact and expert discovery, including taking and defending depositions
• Provide legal advice regarding laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses
