Description

You will work with clients in their homes, craft treatment plans, and apply innovative techniques to help them reach their goals. You will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team providing skilled nursing and rehabilitative care, affording clients the opportunity to remain at home.

Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapist license in Arizona
• Willingness to travel in assigned territory
• Graduation from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records preferred
• 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic tests and measurements such as joint mobility, transfer status, stability, ambulation, strength, endurance, balance, and safety assessments
• Develop and implement individualized care plans including manual therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance interventions
• Implement integumentary protective interventions to prevent wound formation and promote wound repair using evidence-based dressings
• Continually assess and revise the Occupational Therapy care plan
• Educate and instruct clients and family members in rehabilitative care and activities to promote health, safety, and independent living
