You'll lead metabolic disease research at Flagship Pioneering's in-house drug development unit, driving target ID through preclinical development. Your impact spans guiding cross-functional program teams and shaping innovative therapeutic strategies for obesity, diabetes, and liver disease.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Provide therapeutic expertise to guide research strategy and experimental design
• Serve as Program Leader advancing drug discovery from target ID to clinical candidate
• Design and execute in vitro and in vivo research plans for metabolic diseases
• Guide assay development and implementation of new technologies

📋 Requirements

• PhD or MD/PhD with 12+ years in biopharmaceutical industry or academia
• Metabolic disease expertise with focus on obesity, diabetes, and liver disease
• Experience in drug discovery and early development overseeing multiple programs
• Proven track record of providing scientific expertise and developing strategies
