You'll join Everbridge's platform modernization team, stewarding legacy production systems while building the next-generation architecture. Your core impact will be incrementally extracting services and introducing new capabilities to reduce technical debt. You'll work remotely across the US, balancing innovation with operational reliability.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement next-generation platform architecture components
• Build new services and APIs to replace legacy functionality
• Maintain and improve existing production systems
• Implement modernization patterns like Strangler Fig and service extraction

📋 Requirements

• 7-10+ years in a software engineering role
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience building scalable microservices

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with system modernization or platform evolution projects
• Familiarity with AI software development tools like Codex or Kiro
• Background transitioning from monoliths to service-oriented architectures
