💼 About This Role

You'll set technical direction for the AI that powers our robots, owning multi-quarter initiatives from research to fleet rollout. You'll architect systems spanning perception, mapping, prediction, and planning, and raise the technical bar across the org through mentorship and code review. This role offers a chance to shape the autonomy stack of a fleet of 30,000+ robots.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Set technical direction for autonomy stack areas like perception, SLAM, prediction, planning.
• Lead large, ambiguous projects end-to-end, scoping and driving execution across multiple engineers.
• Partner with engineering managers, product, and hardware on staffing, sequencing, and risk.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers; raise the bar through design and code review.

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of industry experience in embodied AI.
• Deep expertise in two or more of: ML, SLAM, perception, motion planning.
• Strong fluency in C++ and Python in a Linux environment.
• History of taking research ideas into production at meaningful scale.

• Experience with on-device acceleration (TensorRT, ONNX, custom CUDA kernels).
• Experience with large-scale data infrastructure.
• Experience leading distributed teams.
