Description

You will design and stand up production work cells, develop manufacturing processes for complex electromechanical assemblies and precision turbomachinery, and partner with Design Engineering to ensure manufacturability. This role is critical to scaling our ocean energy technology and building our production capabilities from the ground up.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
• 3+ years in a high-mix manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience with DFM, lean manufacturing, and assembly fixture design
• Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and automation solutions
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems

Responsibilities

• Design and procure assembly tooling and fixtures to improve ergonomics, efficiency, and quality
• Lead root cause analysis for manufacturing issues and improve yield and reduce cost
• Build production work cells including SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation
• Partner with Design Engineering to provide DFM feedback on new products
• Collaborate with Logistics and Production to design inventory control and kanban systems
