💼 About This Role
You'll join Workato's Customer Engineering team as the highest technical escalation layer, owning complex customer issues from root cause to code-level fixes. You'll drive AI-powered improvements across support workflows and reduce mean time to resolution. This role blends deep engineering skills with cross-functional communication, acting as a trusted technical expert across teams.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Own complex technical escalations from Success and Support teams end-to-end.
- Identify root causes using systematic troubleshooting and deep access to R&D tooling.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate root cause identification and reduce MTTR.
- Build and maintain internal diagnostic tools and AI-assisted tooling.
- Communicate root cause analyses and resolution timelines to customer-facing teams.
📋 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby.
- Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL.

- Hands-on experience applying AI or LLM technologies to engineering workflows.
