๐ผ About This Role
You'll develop polymeric materials for Starlink satellite products, collaborating with design engineers to ensure cost-effective and reliable consumer electronics. You'll lead scale-up from prototype to production and solve complex processing challenges.
๐ฏ What You'll Do
- Develop, test, and evaluate polymeric materials for Starlink products.
- Support polymer selection and implementation with design engineers.
- Solve complex material and processing challenges across product generations.
- Lead scale-up from prototype to production of injection molded parts.
- Perform root cause failure investigations as subject matter expert.
๐ Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in materials science or an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with characterizing and testing thermoplastics, elastomers, or adhesives.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- ITAR compliance: U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
โจ Nice to Have
- Master's degree or PhD in materials science or polymer engineering.
- 5+ years of professional work experience, preferably in consumer electronics.
- Knowledge of polymer characterization techniques like SEM-EDS, FTIR, DSC, TGA.
