Description

You will take full ownership of the transport function, including P&L, network design, and service performance. Your role involves optimizing routes, managing third-party carriers, and leading a team to reduce costs while improving customer experience across final mile, middle mile, and inbound operations.

Requirements

• Proven senior transport management experience with P&L responsibility
• Experience managing multidrop B2C delivery operations
• Strong understanding of UK transport networks (final mile, middle mile, linehaul)
• Demonstrated success in reducing transport cost through optimisation and negotiation
• CPC qualification

Responsibilities

• Full P&L ownership for transport function, including budget setting and cost control
• Lead transport network design and optimisation
• Own middle mile haulage strategy, carrier selection, and contract negotiation
• Manage Transport Management System (TMS) improvements
• Lead and develop the transport team
