Description

You will lead a team of ~30 technicians and welders, overseeing production schedules, workflow, and weld quality while collaborating with engineering to improve processes. This role requires strong leadership and welding expertise to support SpaceX's Starship program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or associate degree plus 4+ years GTAW, FCAW, or GMAW experience, or 8+ years metal fabrication experience
• 2+ years leadership experience
• Ability to interpret drawings and weld symbols per AWS D17.1
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1, D1.6, D1.2
• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and travel to launch sites

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage ~30 technicians or welders including performance management
• Supervise production floor daily schedules and workflow
• Provide technical support to welding team
• Streamline fit-up and welding processes with management and engineering
• Control production weld quality and enforce workmanship standards
