Description

As a Commercial Generator Technician with Pearce Services, you will travel to customer sites across the greater Salt Lake City area to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency services on diesel and natural gas generators and automatic transfer switches. You'll work independently, solving complex problems on equipment from leading manufacturers, and ensure reliable power for telecom and commercial clients.

Requirements

• 2+ years generator maintenance experience, specifically units 500 kW and above (preference for 3,000 kW+)
• 2+ years experience with generator/electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes
• Thorough knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair
• Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills
• Basic knowledge of FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites for scheduled maintenance and repairs on diesel/natural gas generators (CAT, Cummins, Generac, Kohler)
• Troubleshoot and diagnose generator controls, ATS, AC, and DC systems
• Respond to emergency maintenance within required response time
• Complete documentation using company computer systems and assess repair urgency
• Install fuel lines, pumps, wiring, controls, and test for proper operation
