Description

As a technical anchor on the NuPay team, you will architect and scale the payments infrastructure that powers Nubank's BNPL solutions, ensuring high availability and reliability for millions of users across Latin America. You will lead technical design for core payment lifecycles, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless checkout experience.

• Track record of technical leadership in architecting complex, distributed software environments at scale
• Deep expertise in high-availability systems with demonstrated trade-off analysis skills

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable systems for NuPay domain, ensuring robust integration with global payment platforms
• Lead technical design for core payment lifecycles (authorization, capture, settlement, reconciliation)
• Scale payments platform for high availability during extreme traffic surges (e.g., Black Friday)
• Partner with Product Managers to optimize checkout journey for high conversion and low churn
• Define engineering standards for architecture, observability, and security across multiple squads
