Description

You will lead the design and implementation of core components for a new AI application platform built on MongoDB, focusing on high-scale distributed systems. Collaborate with research, product, and engineering teams to shape architecture, deliver tested features, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years building distributed systems or foundational cloud services at scale
• Strong background in high-scale compute and data distributed systems
• Proven success designing, writing, testing, debugging, and tuning distributed/concurrent software
• Experience with Python, Go, and Java
• Good technical communication skills and collaboration mindset

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver well-tested core platform components
• Contribute to architecture, code reviews, and developer experience
• Mentor fellow engineers and assume ownership of projects
• Work closely with research, product management, and engineering teams
• Define the first version and future evolution of the service
