Description

You will create layouts for in-house PCB designs, collaborating closely with hardware engineers to develop schematics and optimize designs. Your work supports advanced electronics for spaceflight, aiming to enable human life on Mars.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or 3+ years of PCB layout experience
• 2+ years of PCB layout experience with SMT, RF, BGA, or high pin density components
• 1+ years of experience with ECAD libraries and library configuration management
• Experience with Mentor Xpedition and/or Altium Designer
• Proficiency in generating fabrication outputs and DFM/DFA analysis

Responsibilities

• Determine layer stack-up, component placement, routing for digital, analog, RF, and power PCBs
• Perform multilayer PCB layout (20+ layers) with high-speed routing and controlled impedance
• Conduct pre- and post-layout SI/PI simulations to mitigate crosstalk, reflections, and EMI/EMC
• Produce fabrication deliverables (Gerber, ODB++, IPC-2581, drill files, stack-up drawings)
• Analyze designs for manufacturability and collaborate with PCB vendors to improve yield
