💼 About This Role

You'll lead data privacy legal matters across the Americas for Airwallex, a global payments platform. You'll shape AI governance and design scalable compliance approaches for complex fintech products, enabling growth while managing regulatory risks.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Provide risk-based advice on data protection, AI, and cybersecurity issues
• Develop and implement AI governance policies and accountability frameworks
• Partner with product and engineering teams to embed privacy-by-design
• Draft and negotiate complex data protection and data-sharing agreements

📋 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) and bar membership in at least one US state
• 6+ years of data privacy legal experience, preferably in fintech or financial services
• Expertise in US federal and state privacy laws (GLBA, FCRA, CCPA)
• Experience with AI governance and cross-border data transfer frameworks

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Canadian and South American privacy regulations
• Familiarity with global data protection frameworks (GDPR, APEC CBPR)
