Description

You will define the vibroacoustic environment for our rocket, lead instrumentation and testing, and process test data to support flight hardware qualifications and design decisions.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or similar
• 8+ years of relevant experience in aerospace with focus on vibroacoustics
• High degree of independence and confidence in assessing and trading design risks
• Holistic perspective on development of systems
• Proficiency in FE codes such as Optistruct, Nastran, or similar, and FE model construction in Hypermesh or Simcenter

Responsibilities

• Perform vibroacoustic analysis during launch and ascent to define environments for vehicle components and payload compartment
• Lead vibroacoustic instrumentation including sensor selection, location, and documentation
• Process vibroacoustic data from analysis, tests, or flight and create environmental test specifications
• Support ground shock, modal, and vibration tests including planning and instrumentation selection
• Manage qualification status of units for vibration and shock, and perform test tailoring for avionics and propulsion equipment
