💼 About This Role

You'll conduct ultrasonic inspections on weldments for the SPARC fusion project, ensuring compliance with ASME V standards. You'll support R&D efforts and prepare detailed inspection reports. This contract role offers hands-on work with cutting-edge fusion technology.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Inspect austenitic steel weldments using phased array ultrasonic techniques
• Assist in training and oversight of ultrasonic trainees
• Prepare NDT techniques and procedures
• Review blueprint specifications and vendor inspection reports

📋 Requirements

• NDT Level 2 certification in UT or UTPA per ASNT SNT-TC-1A or ISO 9712
• 80 hours of ultrasonic Level 1 & 2 training and 80 hours PAUT training
• 3+ years inspecting steel welds using conventional and phased array UT
• Knowledge of ASME Section V and other ASTM NDT standards

✨ Nice to Have

• Performance Demonstration Qualification (PDQ) for UTPA
• Experience in power, petrochemical, or aerospace industries
• Experience examining austenitic steel welds
