💼 About This Role

You'll operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the laser and optical components of a state-of-the-art inertial fusion laser system. You'll work with the Shot Director to execute critical procedures during laser experiment operations and perform hands-on maintenance. This is a unique opportunity to be one of the first qualified operators of a cutting-edge system.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Train and qualify as Optics and Beamline Controller for Phoenix Laser System
• Execute procedures as Beamline Controller during laser experiments
• Develop procedures for the Phoenix pulsed power system
• Troubleshoot performance anomalies during operations and maintenance

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience
• Experience operating complex, high-risk systems
• Experience manufacturing or operating optical hardware
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

✨ Nice to Have

• Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with laser systems coursework
• Working knowledge of control systems and mechanical/pneumatic equipment
