💼 About This Role

You'll own the design, analysis, and production support of fluid, power, and thrust-generating systems for autonomous surface vessels. Your work will ensure system efficiency, safety, and reliability, with a focus on below-deck systems critical to vessel operation. This role offers the chance to contribute to cutting-edge maritime autonomy.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own architecture, arrangement, and detailed design of propulsion and auxiliary systems.
• Develop analysis tools and models to characterize and validate system architectures.
• Release and own drawings, support production teams to minimize downtime.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate systems into vessel design.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years experience in design, analysis, and build of integrated fluid or mechanical power systems.
• Experience with diesel powertrain architecture and fluid systems.
• Experience with analysis and modeling of piping flow, powertrain, or cooling performance.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with CFD software (STARCCM, ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, COMSOL).
• Experience with industrial automation and controls.
• Familiarity with conjugate heat transfer and hydrodynamic models.
