💼 About This Role

You'll be the lead architect for GNC design, modeling, and analysis across a wide variety of spacecraft and space missions at Apex, a fast-growing startup backed by $200M in Series D funding. You'll work with all facets of the engineering life cycle, from concept through integration and test, and directly interact with customers to ensure mission success. You'll join a team building commercial satellite buses at scale with vertical integration and hardware designed for manufacturing.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Lead GNC design, modeling, and analysis for LEO, MEO, GEO, and RPOD missions.
• Design flight software, algorithms, and simulation products.
• Develop spacecraft autonomy tools for constellation management.
• Integrate flight and simulation software with analysis, test, and operations tools.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 15+ years of industry experience in GNC/ADCS.
• 5+ years of industry experience developing/operating spacecraft/satellites.
• Prior experience leading a team of three or more direct reports.
• Experience developing, implementing, and verifying flight software.

• Advanced degree preferred.
• Prior experience directly interfacing with aerospace customers.
• Hands-on experience with IMU, reaction wheels, star trackers, gyroscopes, and other GNC hardware.
