You'll own system-level performance for laser-induced inertial fusion systems at a clean energy startup. Your work will directly impact neutron and x-ray output, stability, and reproducibility across the full product lifecycle. This role bridges research and industrialization, ensuring scalable, reliable energy systems.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and maintain system-level performance baselines
• Develop system models to analyze sensitivity and stability
• Translate performance requirements into component specifications
• Drive performance verification and validation strategies

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years developing large integrated systems in complex environments
• Advanced degree in Physics or Mechanical Engineering
• Expertise in system modeling (MATLAB, Python) and statistical methods
• Experience with performance integration and scalability

✨ Nice to Have

• CAD literacy and FEM-tools (e.g. ANSYS)
• Optical simulation experience (e.g. Zemax)
• German language proficiency
