You will lead a high-impact engineering team responsible for Relay's Client Experience services and architecture, spending about 50% of your time coding while mentoring engineers and driving technical direction.

Requirements

• 8+ years software development building large scale SaaS production systems
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role providing oversight
• Full-stack development experience across frontend and backend
• Proven track record leading complex technical initiatives
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, React, Python, Terraform

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and engineering standards for secure, compliant full-stack systems
• Lead Greenfield builds and evolution of existing solutions
• Optimize distributed, message-based workflows for reliability and cloud cost efficiency
• Establish effective AI-first and AI-assisted development practices
• Coach engineers at all levels through mentoring, feedback, and hiring
