💼 About This Role

You'll lead capital markets legal support for Upstart's AI lending marketplace, negotiating innovative deal structures with institutional investors. You'll drive securitization transactions and collaborate across teams to shape funding strategy. This role offers high impact with broad deal exposure.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Support capital markets and finance teams in purchase and sale agreements and securitization transactions.
• Review, draft, and negotiate transactional documents with institutional investors.
• Manage deal flow and work with outside counsel on securitization structures.
• Develop and maintain transaction templates and processes.

📋 Requirements

• J.D. degree with state bar membership.
• 12 years of legal experience including large law firm and in-house.
• Experience in structured finance or debt finance.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills for transactional documents.

✨ Nice to Have

• Prior experience at a fintech company focused on lending/credit markets.
• CA or NY bar membership.
• Proven ability to develop scalable processes and procedures.
