💼 About This Role

You'll architect the technical foundation of Toast's product analytics ecosystem, owning how product usage data is captured, structured, and made accessible. You'll design scalable data models and lead cross-functional partnerships to enable data-driven product development and AI-powered insights.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design systems for product telemetry, experimentation, and analytics datasets.
• Establish scalable data models for sessions, identity resolution, and lifecycle metrics.
• Develop and maintain analytics layers of the product data warehouse.
• Partner with engineering to enforce telemetry instrumentation best practices.

📋 Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Product Analytics (or MS with 8 years, PhD with 5).
• Experience with large-scale product data from web/mobile apps and Android OS.
• Deep expertise in product analytics data infrastructure (schema design, pipelines, warehouses).
• Hands-on experience with Amazon S3, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, Python and similar tools.

✨ Nice to Have

• Supporting data foundations for experimentation and A/B testing frameworks.
• Experience with AI tools like Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, MCP.
