💼 About This Role

You'll own the end-to-end optical performance of complex electro-optical payloads for space and airborne remote-sensing systems. You'll define architectures, lead performance modeling, and guide design through integration and test. This role offers early-stage equity and the chance to advance superintelligent vision technology.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define optical system architectures for remote-sensing payloads.
• Perform radiometric, MTF, and image-quality performance analyses.
• Review optical and optomechanical designs to meet performance requirements.
• Support integration, test, calibration, and on-orbit commissioning.

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in EO/IR or remote-sensing optical systems.
• Strong expertise in optical performance analysis (MTF, SNR, radiometry).
• Experience with detector technologies (CCD, CMOS, IR focal planes).

✨ Nice to Have

• Master’s or PhD in a relevant technical discipline.
• Experience with spaceborne or high-altitude airborne imaging systems.
• Familiarity with Zemax, Code V, FRED or equivalent optical design tools.
