Description

You will own Mozilla's search revenue forecasting end-to-end, developing models in Python, translating complex trends into clear narratives for senior leadership, and mentoring other data scientists. This role directly informs planning and strategic decisions in a dynamic product landscape.

Requirements

• 8+ years in data science, analytics, or applied quantitative roles with ownership of complex analytical programs
• Advanced Python and SQL, with experience building and maintaining forecasting or decision-support models
• Ability to balance rigor with pragmatism in ambiguous environments
• Proven communication skills with senior stakeholders, including live executive presentations
• Track record of partnering with Finance or similar stakeholders for planning and strategic decisions

Responsibilities

• Own Mozilla’s search revenue forecasting program end-to-end, including model development, scenario analysis, and executive-facing reporting
• Develop and maintain forecasting models in Python, selecting appropriate approaches and validating results
• Translate complex trends, assumptions, and trade-offs into clear narratives for Finance and senior leadership
• Evaluate the impact of key drivers, uncertainties, and evolving conditions to inform planning and decision-making
• Establish best practices for forecasting, validation, and reporting, and mentor other Data Scientists
