Description

You will design and support outside plant telecommunications infrastructure, including copper and fiber networks. Your work ensures the reliability and expansion of telecom services like FTTH, DSL, and Metro-E.

Requirements

• Experience designing and engineering OSP telecom infrastructure including fiber and copper networks
• Strong understanding of OSP principles and telecom industry practices
• Knowledge of right-of-way acquisition, easements, and permitting processes
• Familiarity with FTTH, DSL, Metro-E, SONET, and fiber transport technologies
• Experience with PC applications, engineering databases, and CAD systems

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed OSP engineering tasks for copper and fiber cable networks
• Develop engineering designs for poles, conduit routes, and buried facilities
• Prepare and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and technical reports
• Track project budgets and ensure financial performance
• Collaborate with municipalities and stakeholders to support project implementation
