💼 About This Role

You'll lead the day-to-day government relations and public affairs function for a leading owner-operator of manufactured home communities. Your core impact will be protecting and advancing the firm's interests across state and local policy environments, directly supporting the CEO and executive team on politically sensitive matters. This role offers a clear path to expanded scope and seniority as the platform scales.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Monitor and respond to state and local policy risks across all operating jurisdictions.
• Build and manage a network of state and local lobbyists and public affairs counsel.
• Lead defensive campaigns on rent control, zoning, and licensing threats.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries and politically motivated investigations.

📋 Requirements

• 8-12 years of government affairs or public affairs experience
• Direct experience with state and local policy across multiple jurisdictions
• Demonstrated ability to build coalitions and advance policy objectives
• Experience with crisis communications and hostile press or regulatory matters

• Background in housing or real estate asset classes
• Advanced degree (MBA or JD)
