💼 About This Role

You'll join the DB team at 당근 to support 4 DBMS platforms (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB). Your work will ensure data safety and performance for a high-traffic service that impacts millions of users. You'll have the freedom to choose tasks across different database technologies.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Plan DBMS capacity and prepare servers, perform modeling and query tuning
• Manage backup and recovery to prevent data loss
• Monitor server issues and troubleshoot for optimal DBMS operation
• Research and adopt new DBMS technologies to meet business requirements
• Develop software for DBMS server automation and monitoring

📋 Requirements

• Understanding of Transactional RDBMS internals (redo/undo logs, transaction processing)
• Knowledge of indexes (B-Tree, R-Tree, Vector) and execution plans
• Responsibility for assigned tasks and positive attitude toward new technologies
• Enjoy technical analysis and discussion on DBMS

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience operating Aurora RDS in AWS environment
• Experience developing DBMS management tools (Python, Java, Go, etc.)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• 3+ years of RDBMS operational experience (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
