You'll define the technical roadmap for Wayve's autonomous vehicle platform and lead architectural integrity across robot software stacks. Your core impact is enabling safe, scalable autonomy through cross-functional leadership and mentorship. This role offers high visibility influencing Embodied AI strategy.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Partner with leadership to define 12-24 month technical roadmap
• Lead design of complex cross-functional robot software systems
• Set bar for code quality, testing rigor, and observability
• Act as technical bridge between robot software and neighboring departments

📋 Requirements

• Deep experience in Robotics Middleware (ROS2, Cyber RT, custom IPCs)
• Mastery of C++ (17/20) with focus on memory management and concurrency
• Proven track record shipping complex autonomous systems or safety-critical embedded software
• Ability to debug hardware-software boundary problems

• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with real-time systems
• Ability to simplify monolithic codebases into modular architecture
