Description

You will be Copper's first dedicated hardware quality leader, owning end-to-end quality across suppliers, manufacturing, new products, and the field. You will build quality systems from scratch, drive supplier and CM performance, lead assembly quality execution, and partner with engineering on NPI and sustaining quality as the company scales.

Requirements

• 7-10 years running quality functions for electromechanical or energy storage products
• 4+ years in start-up environments
• End-to-end hardware quality ownership across all pillars
• Ability to build core quality systems from scratch
• Proven supplier and CM leadership including overseas partners
• Strong root cause and corrective action discipline (5 Whys, fishbones)
• Broad hardware manufacturing knowledge (mechanical, cosmetic, electrical, PCBA)
• Assembly execution focus and field-to-factory feedback loops
• Clear documentation and cross-functional communication skills
• Sound judgment balancing speed, rigor, and risk

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hardware quality across supplier, NPI, factory/assembly, field, and customer quality
• Build and operate core quality systems from scratch (inspections, defect tracking, SCARs, serialization, change control)
• Drive supplier and CM quality performance with overseas and US partners
• Lead assembly and production quality execution, enforcing training and ECO implementation
• Own field quality and failure analysis, connecting DOAs/RMAs to root cause and corrective action
