You will lead the Workflows platform team at Contentful, owning the orchestration engine behind approvals, tasks, triggers, and automation. Collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to deliver a high-impact platform that accelerates product development and improves customer experiences.

Requirements

2+ years managing cross-functional engineering teams
Technical breadth across modern web platforms and backend distributed systems
Experience with platform or foundational teams
Strong quality mindset for platforms (observability, performance, safe rollout)
People leadership strength: hiring, coaching, feedback, inclusion

Responsibilities

Lead and grow a high-performing, globally distributed engineering team
Partner with Product and Design to shape and deliver the roadmap for Workflows
Evolve the orchestration platform with workflow APIs, execution semantics, integrations, and reliability
Strengthen operational practices including on-call, incident response, and post-incident learning
Enable platform adoption through documentation, migration support, and predictable releases
