💼 About This Role

You'll lead development of Android-based products on custom hardware, owning the application layer end-to-end. You'll drive AOSP integration, collaborate with hardware vendors, and set engineering standards for building, testing, and shipping on device. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with deep Android OS knowledge.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and expose system services, Binder/IPC, and AIDL-based APIs
• Drive PackageManager and app installation strategy
• Build and maintain Android CI/CD pipelines with device-in-the-loop testing
• Harden pilot-quality software into production-grade systems

📋 Requirements

• AOSP fluency: navigated source tree, worked with OEM/vendor teams
• 8 to 12 years of software engineering with Android platform depth
• Deep understanding of Android security model including sandboxing and system app privileges
• Hands-on experience with update mechanisms from app-level to system OTA

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience shipping products where WebView is the primary UI surface
• Experience designing device telemetry and fleet health systems
