💼 About This Role

You'll join the Traffic team at Confluent, building the networking fabric for Confluent Cloud. Your work will focus on performance, security, reliability, and cost optimization for all traffic ingressing and egressing Kafka clusters. This role offers a chance to impact the company's top and bottom line through strategic cloud networking investments.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and build a high-performance network data plane platform
• Drive execution of software projects from design to production
• Build upon open source software to deliver business impact
• Troubleshoot and improve ops for a complex multi-cloud stack

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field (graduation Dec 2023 - Jan 2026)
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems
• Proficiency in C++, Go, Python, or other statically typed languages

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Understanding of systems-level concepts (disk, network, OS)
