💼 About This Role

You'll design and implement mechanical systems for robotic sensing and compute payloads at Field AI, building reliable field-deployed AI. You'll own ruggedized enclosures, thermal management, and manufacturability from CAD through production. Your work directly enables robots to operate in complex real-world environments.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design mechanical structures and sensor mounts for rugged payloads.
• Run FEA and thermal simulations to validate durability.
• Apply DFM principles for production-ready designs.
• Conduct mechanical and ingress testing on prototypes.

📋 Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD platform.
• Experience designing for vibration, shock, and thermal cycling.
• Knowledge of CNC, sheet metal, and additive manufacturing workflows.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with robotics deployments in field environments.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD or IP rating standards.
• Ability to contribute across electrical and sensing domains.
