Description

You will lead and scale Clutch's consumer financing business, building lending operations from the ground up to offer a simpler, more transparent way to finance vehicles. You'll shape lending strategy, develop credit policies, manage portfolio performance, and collaborate cross-functionally to integrate financing seamlessly into the customer journey.

Requirements

• 10+ years leadership experience with 5+ years in auto finance, consumer lending, or captive finance
• Strong understanding of credit risk management, underwriting, and portfolio analytics
• Proven track record building or scaling lending operations in a high-growth environment
• Deep knowledge of Canadian lending regulations and compliance requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field; MBA preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of lending strategies to drive originations and credit quality
• Develop and implement credit policies balancing growth with risk management
• Build and scale lending operations including origination, underwriting, servicing, and collections
• Manage capital partnerships, negotiate facility terms, and ensure compliance with regulations
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing lending team
