💼 About This Role

You'll perform thermal analysis and own thermal design for hardware development programs at a defense technology company. Your work will directly impact the rapid prototyping of cutting-edge autonomous and sensor systems. You'll collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to validate models and ensure products survive harsh environments.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Execute hand calculations and first-order models in MATLAB/Python
• Develop CFD models and simulations for thermal predictions
• Generate and correlate integrated FEMs for imaging platforms
• Perform test-model correlation to validate analytical predictions
• Prepare technical reports for internal teams and customers

📋 Requirements

• MS or higher in engineering or physics with heat transfer focus
• 7+ years of thermal analysis experience
• Thermal FEA experience (STAR-CCM+, ANSYS, Icepak, Flotherm)
• MATLAB or Python for analytical models and data processing
• Ability to obtain U.S. Secret security clearance

• Knowledge of climatic/dynamic testing and instrumentation
• CAD skills and engineering drawing standards
• Experience with MIL-STD-810
