Description

You will lead high-impact platform initiatives for Instacart's content infrastructure, architecting the extraction of a content management domain from a Ruby monolith into a dedicated Go service. You'll design composable content architectures and shape an AI-native platform that powers all consumer-facing pages at scale.

Requirements

• 5+ years professional software engineering experience
• Strong backend skills with Go, Ruby, Java, or similar
• Proven track record leading large-scale technical projects
• Experience building high-throughput, low-latency backend services

Responsibilities

• Lead CMD service extraction from Ruby monolith to Go service using strangler-pattern
• Design composable extensibility replacing hardcoded placement types with React/Liquid components
• Shape AI-native content platform by exposing Page Builder as MCP-compatible endpoints
• Drive cross-team architecture with Shopping/URSA, Feeds, Growth, Loyalty, and Ads
• Mentor engineers and establish robust design patterns
