Description

You will architect and deliver core flight software for the Terran R rocket, focusing on performance requirements, and collaborate with GNC, embedded, and avionics teams to integrate complex algorithms and sensor data. This role offers high autonomy and the chance to shape the foundation of Terran R's software stack, directly impacting flight success.

• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Experience with high-reliability software for complex systems
• Ability to collaborate well to solve meaningful problems
• Technical leadership experience
• Experience with real-time control systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver core flight software meeting system and performance requirements (latency, jitter, control frequency)
• Work closely with GNC engineers to integrate algorithms for ascent, re-entry, descent, and landing
• Work closely with Embedded Software Engineers and Avionics to integrate sensor data (GPS, IMU, Radar) and control vehicle equipment
• Set standards and best practices for the team
• Mentor junior engineers
