💼 About This Role

You'll own system design for major features and drive backend architecture for our compliance automation platform, scaling for mid-market customers and building our first AI product. You'll set technical direction so clearly that mid-level engineers can pick up any part of it and run.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own system design and technical specs for major features
• Build granular RBAC and sub-workspace collaboration for mid-market
• Lead backend architecture for the first customer-facing AI product
• Architect foundations for agentic AI compliance workflows

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of backend engineering experience
• Expertise in Java for production systems
• Experience shipping complex backend systems end-to-end
• Ability to write clear technical designs before coding

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools like Cursor or Claude
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 or SOC 2
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
