Description

You will design and build valves, regulators, and actuators for Starship and Super Heavy, focusing on manufacturability and reliability. Your work involves optimizing production flow, implementing testing, and resolving manufacturing issues to enable high-rate production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in physics or engineering
• 1+ years mechanical design/hands-on manufacturing experience
• Able to work long hours and weekends
• Travel to vendors and other SpaceX sites as needed
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Responsibilities

• Design factory and process for high-quality flow control devices and mechanisms
• Simplify/optimize production flow, accelerate production, and cut-in automation
• Implement linear production flow and visual indicators for bottlenecks
• Maintain work instructions and track defects/part movement
• Implement flight-like acceptance testing and solve production yield issues
